• The Teaching Company — I just discovered these nifty DVD college-level courses on nearly every topic imaginable. Explore electives you didn't have time to take... Investigate issues in the news... Delve into details TV programs can't cover...  EX: Did you see that cool Nova program on dark matter and want to learn more? They've got a dark matter course that's geared to the non-scientist! Dark Matter, Dark Energy: The Dark Side of the Universe is 24 half-hour lectures on DVD by a CalTech professor for less than $70 (if purchased before October 25th). There are so many I want, I don't even know where to begin!
• FairTax DeKalb — I'm in the process of organizing a local chapter of FairTax Nation, which supports the passage of the FairTax bill (HR 25 / S 296), replacing all federal income taxes (personal, corporate, social security, capital gains, inheritance, etc.) with a progressive national sales tax.
